A contact center is often depicted as a large office, full of headset-equipped employees fielding calls from all over the world, be it a customer service department or an operator service for a sizable company. However, contact centers actually come in all sizes.

 

Whether it’s a small inside sales team taking incoming calls and placing outbound calls, or a few customer representatives who answer support calls – any group of workers set up to handle a lot of phone calls, for whatever reason, counts as a contact center.

Proud to be a Fit-Friendly Company

For the past four years, the American Heart Association has recognized ESI as a Fit-Friendly workplace. According to the AHA, Fit-Friendly companies consist of employers and staff who “go above and beyond when it comes to its employees’ health.”

 While the employees of ESI are very excited about being Fit-Friendly, these health initiatives weren’t taken for recognition alone. Inactivity comes with plenty of health risks and spending hours a day sitting at a desk is one way to keep a person sedentary. As a result, we have provided support for our ESI family by promoting a wellness culture that encourages physical activity and healthy eating habits during the workday.

Why We’re Proud to Be a “Healthy” Company

What a great honor to represent ESI at the Healthiest Employers of Dallas luncheon sponsored by the Dallas Business Journal. It was a tremendous pat on the back — for all of ESI’s employees who have worked so hard to achieve improved wellness for themselves and their families.

After being evaluated on a number of criteria — including culture and leadership commitment, foundational components of wellness, strategic planning, communication, marketing, and programming — ESI was selected in the medium-sized business category for Dallas area employers from 100–500 employees.
